President Ellen Sanders Ellen D Sanders, cellist, has been a resident of the Bay Area since 1989. She is a graduate of Oberlin College and the San Francisco Conservatory. She is currently a member of Opera San Jose and the San Jose Chamber Orchestra, and principal cello of the Santa Cruz County Symphony. This will be Ellen’s ninth year participating in the Adventure in Music program where she will perform for over 12,000 third, fourth and fifth graders in the San Francisco public schools. She has spent her summers performing at the Sun Valley Summer Music Festival and the Mendocino Music Festival. Her calling to union activism can be traced back to her days as president of her 6th grade class at Grantville Elementary of San Diego. |

Secretary David Borough David Borough is an award winning songwriter. As a performer, David performs solo, as well as with Radio Rail, The Odavey's Irish Band, and the improvisational power trio Cassady's Hammer. David is serving his third term as Local Secretary. |

Treasurer David Winters David is a vocalist ("A Singer For All Seasons" - Santa Cruz Good Times), and guitarist ("David Winters - guitar virtuoso" - Santa Cruz Sentinel) who has been playing professionally for more than 25 years. He has contributed articles to Acoustic Guitar Magazine, Guitar Player Magazine's prestigious 'Master Series', and authored the acclaimed book 'Natural & Artificial Harmonics for the Guitar'. His compositions have been used in productions by the Mamalution Dance Collective, Santa Cruz Actors Theater and Wallflower Order Dance Collective. David is active in the labor movement and is coordinator of the Western Workers Labor Heritage Festival. He served one term as Secretary/Treasurer for Local 153 before being elected Treasurer. |
